Creating Resources and Materials for an Irish Context
Our desire is to see resources shared, produced and published within an Irish context for use in Irish churches.
We also want to encourage the development of resources shaped by the realities of ministry in Ireland from people ministering within the context. Too often, churches rely almost entirely on material produced in other contexts, some of which is helpful, but much of which does not always reckon with the cultural, religious, and missional realities on the ground here. Our hope is to identify, gather, and promote talks, articles, teaching materials, and published resources produced by people who are actively ministering in Ireland, so that churches and leaders can be served by work that is rooted in local experience, theological depth, and pastoral usefulness.
Why?
We believe the Irish church needs more resources that emerge from within the Irish context itself. Ministry in Ireland carries its own particular challenges: historic religious identities, post-Christian assumptions, rural isolation, small church realities, immigration, and a growing distance from any meaningful understanding of biblical Christianity. Because of that, there is real value in hearing from pastors, planters, teachers, and practitioners who are not simply importing ideas, but are thinking carefully about how the gospel is to be proclaimed, embodied, and applied here. By gathering and encouraging this kind of work, we hope to strengthen churches, serve leaders, and contribute to a growing body of faithful, practical, and contextually aware material for ministry in Ireland.
How?
In the coming months, we hope to begin sharing more of the vision for this work, including already produced resources for the Irish context. We would also love to hear from pastors, church leaders, writers, teachers, and practitioners who may already be producing helpful material, or who would like to contribute to this growing body of work. This will be a collaborative project, shaped not only by research, but by the wisdom and experience of those already serving on the ground in Ireland.
