Planting The Gospel In Rural Irish Towns

Our vision is to identify, build a team, and plant a church in 10 rural Irish towns by the year 2040.

At present there are approximately 100 Irish towns that are without a Gospel preaching church. Through the identification of a town, a core group, and with support and resources, we aim to plant and established church in 10 of these towns by the year 2040. It is imperative that the DNA of the churches that area planted is that of a church planting church, so training and support will be given that these churches would reach future generations by raising up disciples to plant the Gospel in other unreached towns across Ireland.

How?

In 2023, we aim to have identified key towns in Ireland for pioneering church planting for the first stage of this project. Our vision is to connect with networks and like minded organisations in order to identify, train and resource church planters to develop core teams for each of those areas, and to begin to establish Gospel work on location.

More than simply planting churches, our goal is to develop a church planting toolkit to help think strategically about what is required for church planting in rural Ireland in both the missiological, ecclesiological, and also the administrative task of planting a church planting church. Furthermore, we hope to begin to develop resources and materials that will encourage rural church planting, and planters from all across the island.
