Irish Church Map

Missiologically Mapping Irish Churches

Why?

The Glúnta map exists to help us see more clearly where Gospel witness is currently present across the Republic of Ireland, and where there may be significant gaps.

It is not intended to rank churches, define legitimacy, or replace the knowledge of local leaders. It is a research tool for prayer, partnership, and mission. By gathering publicly available information about churches across the country, the map gives pastors, church planters, denominations, networks, and supporters a clearer picture of the landscape we are seeking to serve.

Our hope is that this map will encourage collaboration rather than competition. It helps us notice places where churches are isolated, communities where there may be little visible Gospel witness, and regions where further research, support, and church planting conversations may be needed.

The data will continue to develop over time. If you notice something missing, inaccurate, or out of date, please get in touch so the map can become a more useful resource for the whole church in Ireland.

This map is as accurate as possible at the time of release. Of course, with churches newly opening or closing, this project is best served by being as 'live' as possible. Decisions were also made in order to ensure that the map is as readable and useable as possible. I welcome discussions on these decisions, as it is my desire that the map be as helpful to the work of the church in Ireland as possible.
